Jana Dreyzehner, MD
Jana Dreyzehner has focused her child psychiatry career of more than 20 years primarily on understanding and providing for the care of medically underserved and special populations including persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and persons who are deaf. She has a strong interest in systems of care integrating behavioral health in primary care improving access to and quality of specialized care. She pioneered telepsychiatry services for the deaf in Appalachia in the late 1990s and developed a consultative team model that later served as a model in Tennessee for development of a new medicaid benefit - the “Systems of Support” crisis stabilization and prevention service for persons with IDD and challenging behaviors while serving as Behavioral Health Medical Director for an Anthem managed care organization. She is founder and CEO of Life Connect Health currently providing team based specialized behavioral health services in 3 states.
